Using Aromatherapy Effectively

Aromatherapy can be found in a variety of different forms. It could be solid, liquid, wax, etc. Find the form that fits you best!

-Candle: A candle is a great way to place a combination of essential oils around your home. You can have a variety of different essential oil-scented waxes mixed together to add multiple benefits to the aromatherapy that you’re using. Having a candle form of aromatherapy allows you to just light it when you want to use it. This takes little preparation or cleanup after. 

-Essential Oil: All aromatherapy is based on the essential oils used within it. These are the scents that are used to help you relieve stress and gain a variety of benefits. Essential oils, however, do not always need to be put into something to be used for aromatherapy. You can always just smell the oils or put a couple of droplets on your body to smell.

-Diffuser/Humidifier: Putting essential oils into a diffuser or humidifier is probably one of the most common ways they are used. It is a way that allows the scents to fill the air over a short period of time while also hydrating the air and one's skin. Diffusers specifically are made for essential oils/aromatherapy. These can be a great strategy for filling the room with the oil scents you are looking for. 

-Body Wash/Shower Care: When shopping for body washes, shampoo, or other shower products there are always ones that contain essential oils. You can benefit from these acts of self-care by adding some aromatherapy. Making yourself feel better and clean can be the perfect self-care combination!


These are just a few of the ways you can use aromatherapy effectively. If it is used properly it can provide you with some great benefits like stress and pain relief, improved sleep quality, lessening sore joints, etc. Find your perfect aroma along with your peace.
