Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree
Care:
Fiddle Leaf Figs are a particularly fickle house plant, so these plants are not for beginners. Fiddle Leaf Figs prefer clay or earthenware pots because this medium allows the soil to “breathe”, however any pot will do as long as there is plenty of drainage. These plants prefer bright, indirect light and require regular dusting. Dust build up can prevent the plant from getting an adequate amount of light and “suffocate” the plant. Weekly watering is best, but since this plant can be temperamental, it’s best to invest in a water meter to be sure when your Fiddle Leaf needs watered.
Pet Friendly:
No.
Soil & Fertilizer:
Fiddle Leaf Figs like cactus mixes and soils with lots of bark and moss which mimics their natural environment. Make sure the top roots are exposed as the plant grows larger. These plants need a 3-1-2 NPK fertilizer diluted with weekly waterings and only during growing season.
