Pickling, Fermenting, & Candle Making

Local author and chef, Sarah Martin, will be joining us at Sense by The Falls on Sunday July 23rd from 1-3pm to host a pickling and fermenting class! Sarah will be teaching on techniques and tips outlined in her recently published book , Pickling and Fermenting. In addition to the lesson and demonstration, each participant will take home pickled and fermented hors d’oeuvres, a custom scented candle in a limited edition mason jar, and enjoy a fermented beverage during the event!

Are you a lover of fermented goods (pickles, kimchi, ciders) and interested in learning more about the health benefits and how-to’s of pickling and fermenting? Join us for this informative event hosted by Sense & Sarah Martin. When you arrive, you’ll be served a beverage of your choice (cider, seltzer, beer, and NA options available) and begin the candle making process. Once your candle is complete, Sarah will begin her demonstration on pickling and fermenting and then guide you through creation of your own pickled hors d’oeuvres to take home. Sarah will also have copies of her book, Pickling and Fermenting, available to sign and for purchase during the event!
