Aloe need bright, indirect sunlight to thrive. Water only when soil is completely dry. Mist lightly every few days to keep the leaves looking supple. Aloe will yellow when over watered and turn brown at the ends when under watered.

No, but you can use the salve from inside the leaves topically on dogs and cats.

Soil & Fertilizer:

Use a well draining soil mixed with sand, moss, and perlite to keep your aloe happy. Aloes do best with a 10-40-10 fertilizer sparingly.
